GRAPHIC DESIGN BUSINESS LAUNCHES IN DOWNTOWN HARTFORD WITH
FUNDRAISER FOR HURRICANE MARIA VICTIMS IN PUERTO RICO
Partnering with State Representative to Assist Devastated Island
HARTFORD – Artwurks Unlimited, a graphic and web design company, is lending a hand to victims of Hurricane Maria in partnership with his legislator, Rep. Angel Arce (D-4 th District).
The “Hartford Stands With Puerto Rico” campaign involves t-shirts with the slogan and an Artwurks original design that supporters can purchase for $25; $20 of each sale will go to a hurricane relief fund established by the Spanish American Merchants Association. The $5 covers the cost of production for each shirt.
Established in 2003, Artwurks Unlimited relocated its business to 423 Main Street in late summer. Owner Andrew Smith decided to launch the campaign after seeing the crisis unfold, knowing that he has many friends with loved ones in the ravaged island. “I wanted people to know I have opened a business in this district, but I also wanted people to know that I am a social enterprise,” Smith said.
Artwurks Unlimited is a design and web development company offering affordable, efficient and value-driven design concepts for web and print, including identity, website, package and large format design, graphic art development, branding, and marketing collateral. T-shirts can be purchased online, or at the business’s grand opening on Thursday, Oct. 26th 2017 at 423 Main Street, Hartford.
