CITYWIDE CIVIC PRIDE CAMPAIGN
Love Hartford was a citywide civic pride and anti-litter campaign created for the City of Hartford. Artwurks Unlimited developed the campaign identity and visual system, extending it across public signage, social media, apparel, merchandise, video and community-facing materials designed to encourage residents to take pride in the city they call home.

A campaign built around civic pride
Rather than focusing solely on litter, Love Hartford connected cleaner streets with something bigger: pride in the city and personal responsibility for the places residents share.
Bold, conversational messaging such as “Trash Goes in the Can” and “Have a Hart, Don’t Trash the Beat” gave the campaign a distinctive voice, while Hartford 311 provided residents with a direct way to take action.
A visual identity built for Hartford
Artwurks Unlimited developed a flexible campaign identity that combined civic pride with a clean, approachable visual language. The Love Hartford mark, bold typography, photography and recognizable bold, adaptable color palette created a system that could remain consistent across everything from street-level signage to apparel and digital media.
From awareness to action
The campaign was designed to do more than deliver a message. Calls to action encouraged residents to participate, share their pride using #LoveHartford and connect with Hartford 311 to report issues and help keep the city clean. The result was creative that paired positive civic messaging with practical ways to get involved.
